1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing this website and submitting a manuscript for review, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of them, please don't use the service. These Terms are a binding agreement between you and nipcr ("we", "us", or "our").

2. What nipcr Is

Nipcr is a free reading service. A submitted manuscript is read and scored against our public rubric (see /guidelines), covering formatting, reproducibility, methodological rigor, statistical soundness, and disclosure of limitations.

Important: A Review Report is a written assessment and numeric score from an independent reader against our public rubric. It is not an academic degree, a professional license, a board certification, or an authorization to practice clinical medicine or any other regulated profession. It does not imply endorsement by any university, journal, or regulatory body.

Nipcr does not assess clinical competency or medical licensure, and bears no clinical or professional liability for how you use your work or your report. You're responsible for holding any licenses your jurisdiction requires, and for how you represent your report to others.

3. Cost

Nipcr does not charge for reviews. We reserve the right to introduce limits on how often someone can submit (for example, to keep the service usable as it grows), but we do not charge money for a review, and we never will retroactively for a review already delivered.

4. Intellectual Property

By submitting a manuscript, you confirm you're the author or an authorized contributor and hold the necessary rights. You keep all intellectual property rights to your work.

To maintain the Review Log, you grant nipcr a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display your name, submission ID, review score, and reviewer notes on this website.

5. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall nipcr, nor its founder, contributors, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising from your access to or use of the service.

6. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless nipcr and its contributors from any claims, damages, or costs (including attorney's fees) arising from your use of the service or a breach of these Terms, including copyright claims regarding your submitted manuscript.

7. Governing Law & Modifications

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. We may modify these Terms at any time; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
